Elevating a next generation AI video creation platform

HeyGen is a US-based AI video generation platform that allows users to create high-quality, filmic content – without traditional production resources. Their goal is to democratize video creation for businesses of all sizes, making it as easy as writing a document.

In a fast-moving, competitive market, HeyGen needed to quickly differentiate their platform. They identified a key opportunity: a premium, versatile template library that could serve everyone from solo creators to large enterprises across industries like healthcare, fintech, and marketing.

Partnering with HeyGen’s Director of Brand & Creative, we designed a comprehensive library of production-ready templates. These assets needed to strike a balance between being broadly accessible yet tailored to specific industries and visual styles.

We created cohesive “mini brand worlds” for each sector, each rooted in a core idea, and translated industry cues into distinct visual identities using color, typography, and imagery. Collaborating with 3D studio SR Partners, we extended these systems into motion and animation, complete with dark and light modes for added flexibility.

Beyond design, we worked closely with HeyGen’s product team, providing structured feedback that directly influenced the platform’s functionality. This collaborative process led to improved usability and new features within the editor.

The new templates elevated the platform’s creative potential and positioned HeyGen as a powerful, user-friendly tool for global storytelling. Our work became a core part of the product experience by supporting new campaigns across languages and industries.

During our collaboration, HeyGen grew to over 15 million users and 100,000 active paying customers across 179 countries, including enterprise clients like Amazon, Salesforce, Nvidia, and Accenture.
